It’s our goal to make your life easier, with our overdraft protection solutions.
Existing Account Overdraft Protection
Link your checking account to your Savings Account (Shares), Money Market Account, Line of Credit (LOC) or any other existing accounts that you may have within the credit union. There is no fee to overdraft with this option, unless this option is used to pay a check. If overdraft protection transfers funds to pay a check, the fee is $3 per transfer.
If overdraft protection transfers funds to pay an item from a Line of Credit (LOC), funds will be transferred in increments of $100 and the fee is $7 per transfer.
*Please note that Regulation D limits all electronic transfers from Savings Accounts to six per month.
Convenience Pay Overdraft Protection Service
With our busy lives, it’s easy to make mistakes such as forgetting to deposit a check, make a transfer, or deduct your last debit charge from your balance. A simple error or balance miscalculation can lead to an unexpected shortage of funds.
1st Credit Union may have the solution you’re looking for with our Convenience Pay program. Convenience Pay is not a line of credit. However, if you inadvertently overdraw your account, we will have the discretion to pay the overdraft, subject to your Convenience Pay limit. Please click HERE for the complete Discretionary Convenience Pay Disclosure.
1st Credit Union will not pay overdrafts for ATM or everyday debit card transactions unless you have given your consent by opting in to the payment of these overdrafts. Please click HERE for more information about opting in to extend your Convenience Pay coverage.
